Reports and photograph albums, 1891-1980.

The collection contains three reports prepared by Advisory Services for Better Housing, Inc.: "Distressed federally assisted multi-family projects in the N.Y.C. area" of 1978-1980, "Coop City marketing Study" of 1980 and "N.Y.C. Mitchell-Lama Inventory" of 1982. The last-named document gives the cost ofeach development and its mortgages; also statistical data including numbers of buildings, rooms, elevators, types of utilities, etc. and personnel. The collection also contains photographs and photograph albums. Three albums from 1978-1979 have snapshots of buildings 382-2397 on the Grand Concourse, the Bronx; the books give building names, addresses, block and lot numbers, numbers of stories and of units. Two albums from the 1970s contain addition view of the Grand Concourse, including many street scenes that show people, the Forham Road shooping area, subway station parks and buildings. A sixth album from 1972-1978 contains illustrations and photographs of proposed housing projects in the Bronx: Mott Haven Houses, Clason Point Gardens, Gouveerneur Morris Houses, Soundview Houses and others; as well as photographs of the Grand Concourse dating from 1891-1914 and an 1891 photograph of mapmakers in a drafting room at the Department of Street Improvements, Bronx, New York, N.Y.
